A few times a year the British Stand organises its famous Book and Cake Sale at Top Squash in Sandweiler. The sales are held during Luxembourg school term times on a Saturday morning.

All books are donated and cover a wide range of topics from fiction to non-fiction, cookery to poetry, novels to autobiographies as well as children and teenage.  Books are mainly in English with some French and German occasionally available. Donated DVDs, puzzles and games are also for sale depending on the donations we have.

For the sales, many volunteers bake delicious home-made cakes and quiches or make sandwiches.

All proceeds are contributed to the International Bazaar; we are also very grateful to the team at Top Squash for their generosity in allowing us the use of their premises for free for these sales.

If you have any good quality donations of books, send us an email and we can arrange for collection or delivery. Please note we do not accept magazines, videos, text books or computer manuals as these simply don’t sell.
